When Filipinos see a camera or a video cam, the immediate tendency or reflex is to huddle together and pose for a picture. For some deep reason embedded in our collective unconscious as a people, picture-taking takes on a social function, literally unifying people with their automatic smiles. And yes even the complete stranger can join in—-like that kid on the right who just happened to pass by.
